Fans First: Engaging With Your Fans on Volume.com

Your fans are the heart of your subscription and livestreams on Volume.com. Ultimately, your superfans join your subscription, and showing them your appreciation will keep them returning for the next show. You’ll want every livestream to feel personal and memorable to these superfans. Here are some helpful tips on deepening your fan engagement and creating unforgettable moments.

Recognition

Over time, the same fans will join your livestreams and engage in the chat. As your returning fans join your livestream, give them a verbal shout-out and welcome them to the show. A direct acknowledgment will make their day and strengthen their connection with you. It’s a simple way to let them know you see them and doesn't interrupt the main content within your livestream. Taking a moment to recognize your super fans will keep them engaged in and outside of your stream.

Interaction

Hosting interactive activities with fans will encourage participation and increase involvement in your stream. A few examples of activities that successful artist subscriptions have previously done are Q&A sessions, trivia nights, and fan song requests. Fans participating in events and interacting with you online strengthens their connection to you as the artist. When you interact one-on-one with your fans, they will remember that special moment and likely return to your next livestream.

Giveaways

Excite your audience by hosting exclusive fan giveaways during your livestreams. Reward the highest tipper on the stream or hold a raffle drawing where all tippers are entered to win the prize. Some prize ideas are fan club exclusive merch, signed vinyl, virtual meet-and-greets, custom short-length videos, a free month of subscription, etc. Make sure your giveaways are exclusive and easily fulfilled!

Early Access

Always give your subscribers early access to new content. Reward them by sharing updates first—especially if they’re paying subscribers. For a few ideas to get started, you might include presale ticket access, early merch sales, and first listens to new music. Early access to your content brings a higher value to your subscription.

Post-Show Engagement

It's important to keep the excitement going even after the show ends. Within 24 hours of the show, engage with your fans who joined the stream. Regularly engage with fans after your show by sending subscribers a thank-you email or video. Alternatively, you could share a highlight or recap clip from the livestream to encourage fans to watch the replay and entice new subscribers to join. Post-show engagement is a great way to continue the connection with your biggest fans.

Fans First Mindset

You can build a subscriber fanbase of loyal supporters by providing meaningful shout-outs, interactive activities, giveaways, and exclusive perks. By prioritizing and following a fan-first mindset to strengthen connections with your fans, they will stay engaged and continue their support.
